Does the term 'color styling' (the work of RLA) on page 344 refer to the interior or the blue/white exterior paint scheme on the bus?

If Loewy designed the exterior paint scheme it may be why he is credited by some of designing the Scenicruiser. He also designed the exterior paint scheme on Air Force One for JFK.
